It’s been four long years since I moved away
That girl that stole my heart has agreed to take my name
These days I’m content with all that’s changed
Even though we get paid hourly, living day-to-day
It’s been one full year since the last song I wrote
I tried departing from those same themes, all the same things
But the memories of sing-a-longs,
Our favorite songs in those parking lots, long ago, is all I know
All these years we’re still living out this dream
Another dive bar off Colfax singing about where we thought we’d be
And it’s these nights
Our songs feel just right
Last call,
We are the only ones at the bar
Everyone else has packed it in and moved on.
Last call,
Pour us another round
We have songs queued up on the jukebox
We’re singing ‘til our lungs give out

It's a rainy bike ride home with a soggy cigarette,
just a reminder of all the things i haven't done yet.
And the well of the friends we had is all dried up and long gone,
but this pad and this pen are hanging out,
So I can write another song...
We are the supporting cast finally given the chance to lead
and it isn't always pretty but it gets us what we need,
a brief moment in the spotlight to say what there is to say,
it's the same old line for the hundredth time but we'll sing it anyway.
It's another useless fight but you gotta let it go,
save those worries for another time,
cause tonight we got a show.

What exactly is the future of pop punk? Is there one? Lawsuit Models don't know the answer to that question, and they don't pretend to know. All this Denver-based four-piece knows is they love it enough to play it unabashedly, unironically, and unceasingly. ... more
